The Position

FastSpring is currently seeking a skilled, self-motivated, and energetic Senior Business Development Representative (Sr. BDR) to help prospect and cultivate demand. In addition to converting inbound demand, managing trials, and cultivating a list of high-priority accounts, the right Sr. BDR will have a genuine impact in helping to develop the mechanics of the growing team. Hires that prove mastery will have various opportunities for growth in individual contributor and leadership roles. We’re looking for a dynamic team-player to work closely with potential clients, the FastSpring sales team, sales leadership, and several internal operational groups to accelerate the sales process.

The qualified individual would likely have the following:

Skills

  • Confident, clear, and dynamic communicator. Very strong written and verbal skills required
  • Self-starter capable of staying focused in a challenging, high-pressure sales environment
  • Naturally inquisitive, drawing out challenges and building curiosity to set up qualified appointments
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Highly motivated to succeed and overachieve against goals
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com to log, track and maintain records
  • Common working knowledge of Microsoft office products and business tools

Qualifications

  • Experience as a BDR (or equivalent role) in a technology company
  • Basic knowledge of SaaS software and/or other web/internet applications
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and have an ongoing desire to stay current
  • Ability to focus on results while working independently when given broad direction
  • Ability to adapt to changing goals based on customer demands and market conditions
  • Strong problem solving skills: must be capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm, focused business demeanor, and taking quick action to resolve issues
